Read the date, boundary and purpose
A census counts people within defined units. A master plan proposes a future pattern of development. A historical book records an author’s account from a particular period. A dated news report documents what was reported at that time. These sources answer different questions.
For a worked example, compare the census guide with the master-plan explanation. Both concern Kurram, but their boundaries, dates and purposes differ.
Why original writing still needs references
CKP explains the material in its own words, connects ideas and gives readers practical ways to understand them. A reference shows where a factual claim came from. It also lets a reader inspect the original context instead of treating our interpretation as the source itself.
We link to publishers and public repositories. We do not republish whole books, copy report chapters or present a government document as CKP’s original research. Read the research and correction method.
